Areas of Expertise
My research focuses on computer vision, machine learning applied to imaging, and pattern recognition, with a focus on applications in biomedical imaging and environmental analysis.
Description
My research focuses on areas of artificial intelligence and image analysis, with a particular interest in discriminative feature extraction and tailored augmentation of under-represented data, in order to design robust learning models for decision support.
This work is part of a cross-cutting approach dedicated to the analysis of complex and real-world visual data, with applications notably in medical image interpretation for diagnostic support, as well as in drone image analysis for the understanding and assessment of disaster situations.
In particular, since 2025 I have initiated and co-led the GT-I2MDP working group (Multimodal Image and AI for the Diagnosis of Pulmonary Diseases) within the GDR IASIS, dedicated to structuring a scientific community around the contribution of artificial intelligence and image analysis to decision support in the diagnosis of pulmonary diseases.
